Join Knox-Lincoln SWCD at the Rockport Public Library’s “Seed Fest” on Saturday, Apr. 12. Seed enthusiasts and gardening buffs of all ages can browse tables throughout the library filled with hands-on activities, informative displays, and free samples from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. At 1 p.m., Neil Lash, co-founder of the internationally recognized Heirloom Seed Project, will give a 30-minute slideshow/talk on heirloom seeds, followed by audience Q&A. The entire event is free and open to the public. Knox-Lincoln SWCD will provide test kits and other information to help visitors better comprehend and work with the soil at their homes.
