Rebecca Jacobs
Conservation Technician (formerly Program Manager)
Rebecca Jacobs received her BS in Environmental Design and Planning from the University of MA at Amherst. Prior to and throughout college, she grew her green thumb by working for nurseries in VT and MA. Upon graduation she was hired as a staff horticulturist at the Norcross Wildlife Sanctuary in Western MA where she honed her skills in native and invasive plants and ecological landscaping.
An opportunity to work as the education coordinator for Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens brought her to Maine in 2006. She moved on in 2009 to start her own small design, build, consultation garden business and started working at the Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District.
When not talking about or working with plants, Rebecca enjoys spending time with friends and family hiking, running, paddling, traveling and can occasionally be found in her own gardens!
